Risk Assessments & Method Statements

Suitable and sufficient task-based risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments, plus technical review and approval of subcontractor RAMS before mobilisation.

Service 02 — Compliant, site-ready

A risk assessment is only useful if the people doing the work recognise the job it describes. Assessments written from a template, for a task nobody on site actually performs, fail on the first inspection — and they fail the workforce long before that.

We write task-based assessments and method statements from the programme, the drawings and, where possible, a walk of the site. They are written in language the operatives can use at the point of work, and they are structured so that an inspector, a client auditor or a claims handler can follow the reasoning.

What the service includes

Task-based risk assessments

Assessments built around the specific activities on your programme, with controls that are proportionate, achievable and actually available on site.

Method statements

Sequenced method statements describing how the work will be carried out, by whom, with what plant and under what supervision.

COSHH assessments

Assessment of substances hazardous to health, including selection of controls, health surveillance triggers and safety data sheet management.

Manual handling and HAV assessments

Specific assessments where manual handling or hand-arm vibration exposure is a material risk, with exposure calculations and control measures.

Subcontractor RAMS review

Technical review and formal approval or rejection of subcontractor submissions before mobilisation, with a written record of what was accepted and why.

Assessments for specific groups

Young persons, new and expectant mothers, lone workers and any other group requiring separate consideration.

Fire risk assessment support

Support with fire risk assessment and emergency arrangements for sites and premises.

What you get

  • Assessments the workforce can actually follow
  • Subcontractor submissions reviewed before anyone mobilises
  • A documented approval trail for every RAMS on the project
  • Controls proportionate to the risk, not copied from a template
