Statement of general policy
EJ Safety Consultancy Services Ltd is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for its personnel, and to conducting its activities so that persons not in its employment are not exposed to risks to their health or safety.
The practice will comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and all other applicable legislation, and will hold itself to the standards it advises its clients to meet.
Organisation
Overall responsibility for health and safety rests with the Principal Consultant, who is responsible for policy, for the provision of resources, and for the annual review of these arrangements.
Arrangements
Risk assessment
Risk assessments are carried out for all activities undertaken by the practice, including site attendance and unmanned aircraft operations, and are reviewed when circumstances change.
Site attendance
Personnel attending client sites comply with the site rules and control measures of the site occupier or principal contractor, and hold the personal protective equipment and competence required for access.
Unmanned aircraft operations
All flights are planned and conducted in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority requirements and the practice's own operating procedures, with public liability insurance in force.
Training and competence
Qualifications and certificates are maintained current, and a record is kept of all training undertaken.
Incident reporting
All accidents, incidents and near misses are recorded and investigated, and reportable events are notified under RIDDOR.
Consultation
Personnel are consulted on matters affecting their health and safety.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually and following any significant change to the practice's activities.
